HEMINGWAY, a six hour miniseries, received wide acclaim as a dramatic and production tour de force, earning Stacey Keach a Golden Globe for his performance in the title role....Adapted by Melvin van Peebles from a John A. Williams’ novel, THE SOPHISTICATED GENTS remains a groundbreaking miniseries that “transcends the color line,” giving audiences an unprecedented snapshot of contemporary African American life....As the premiere producer of the widely acclaimed ABC Afterschool Specials, Daniel Wilson Productions received multiple Emmys and Christopher awards, and has been hailed by both television reviewers and educators for programming excellence....BLOOD AND HONOR, a powerful mini-series exploring the impact of the Hitler Youth movement, was an international television event, receiving the George Foster Peabody Award. 

DWP developed and produced THE HANDMAID’S TALE, adapted for the screen by Sir Harold Pinter from Margaret Atwood’s iconic novel.  The film starred Natasha Richardson, Robert Duvall, Faye Dunaway, and Elizabeth McGovern in a production praised as “mezmerizing ...powerful...ingenious.”  DWP, in partnership with MGM Television, is currently producing THE HANDMAID'S TALE as an original dramatic series for Hulu, starring Elisabeth Moss as Offred. The first season was released in 2017 and received widespread critical acclaim. Nominated for 13 Emmys overall, THE HANDMAID'S TALE won eight Emmy Awards, including Best Drama. The second season is scheduled for release in 2018. 

In addition, DWP has several major projects in development for television and motion pictures including SOPHISTICATED GENTS: The Next Generation...a screen adaptation of legendary journalist Jimmy Breslin’s HOW THE GOOD GUYS FINALLY WON... and an event series, JOURNEY INTO THE BOMB, the saga of David McTaggart and the founding of Greenpeace.
