Williams’ novel, THE SOPHISTICATED GENTS remains a groundbreaking miniseries that “transcends the color line,” giving audiences an unprecedented snapshot of contemporary African American life....As the premiere producer of the widely acclaimed ABC Afterschool Specials, Daniel Wilson Productions received multiple Emmys and Christopher awards, and has been hailed by both television reviewers and educators for programming excellence....BLOOD AND HONOR, a powerful mini-series exploring the impact of the Hitler Youth movement, was an international television event, receiving the George Foster Peabody Award. 

DWP developed and produced THE HANDMAID’S TALE, adapted for the screen by Sir Harold Pinter from Margaret Atwood’s iconic novel.  The film starred Natasha Richardson, Robert Duvall, Faye Dunaway, and Elizabeth McGovern in a production praised as “mesmerizing ...powerful...ingenious.”  DWP, in partnership with MGM Television, is currently producing THE HANDMAID'S TALE as an original dramatic series for Hulu, starring Elisabeth Moss as Offred. The first season released in 2017 received widespread critical acclaim, including 15 Emmy Awards, the Golden Globe, Critics Choice Award, and the George Foster Peabody Award.  Production for season 5 of THE HANDMAID'S TALE is slated to begin in 2022.
